In Loving Memory of
Julie Doody
Aug 5, 1988 - July 24, 2002

The For Julie Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to raising funds to assist in the battle against leukemia and other blood cancers. We are all volunteers who donate our effort and time in the belief that leukemia and all blood cancers can be eliminated as a major cause of death in children.

This Foundation was established in the memory of Julianne Doody, a 13-year-old girl who died in July of 2002, less than 14 weeks after being diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia, AML, a very aggressive form of leukemia.

Our main method of fundraising remains our "Friday for Julie" Walk and Fundraiser. This year our walk was held on Friday, July 29, 2011 . It was our 9th Annual Walk/Fundraiser. If you could not attend our walk this year, please consider helping us achieve our goal by making a donation click here to donate.

We want to thank everyone who joined us for our walk. We raised well over $90,000. In just nine years now, we have now raised over $1,000,000. Please help us as we continue our efforts to eliminate leukemia and other blood cancers as the leading cause of death of children in the United States.

We are 100% volunteer-based, all funds raised are used to find and provide funding to innovative research projects and, at the same time, provide financial assistance to families burdened with the exorbitant costs of fighting cancer.

We also hold a charity poker tournament during the winter months. This year we will hold our 5th Annual "All in For Julie" Texas Hold'em Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012. Last year was our most successful to date with 100 players. To find out more and register click here: 5th Annual "All in For Julie" Texas Hold'em Tournament.
