Julie's Story
Retired Jersey
Julie's volleyball jersey was retired on March 4, 2003. The jersey was retired in memory of her constant pursuit of excellence both on and off the court.
The Board of Education felt that Julie was an inspiration to her family, friends, and teachers and left a lasting and loving impression on the lives of those she touched. Julie's loss was felt within the Orland Jr. High School, impacting all who knew her. Orland Jr. High School retired her jersey in remembrance of her warmth, strength, and love of life.
All of Julie's friends and family were present at the presentation of the retired jersey to her parents (see picture).
